Comments: Eye-catching match-issue home shirt worn by the Kasima Antlers of the J-League between 1996-98. The name 'Kashima' translates as Deer Island.

In 1996, they were crowned Japanese champions. The following season although they finished 2nd they still completed a domestic treble by winning the Emperor's Cup, J-League Cup and the Super Cup.

In 1998 they returned to the pinnacle of Japanese football as they were crowned Champions again. They have won the title more than any other team in Japan.

Match-issued shirt likely matchworn by striker Atsushi Yanagisawa. Player shirts featured the 'Korea & Japan 2002' sleeve patch in support of the joint bid to host the FIFA World Cup.

The squad included Bismarck, Mazinho Oliveira, Takeshi Yamaguchi, Yasuto Honda, Koji Nakata and Toshiyuki Abe.
